When the artificial intelligence craze started a few years ago, the first AI-generated videos showed actor Will Smith eating spaghetti.
However, the results from the first tests were creepy, showing a completely distorted version of Smith’s face swallowing spaghetti in a scary way.
But now, using Veo 3, the new and improved version of Google’s video generation tool, the test demonstrated an almost perfect result.
Watching the latest video, an unaware person could easily believe it is footage of the actor himself eating spaghetti.
Just got access to Veo 3 and the first thing I did was try the Will Smith spaghetti test. SOUND ON pic.twitter.com/y0CiZwNxgM

Besides the excellent image, users also noticed that the audio was amazing, perfectly mimicking the chewing sounds Smith probably makes while eating (although the pasta was a bit… crunchy).
However, the video also made some social media users a bit scared by how quickly the technology has evolved, with many wondering what purpose AI can really be used for.
“[The] disinformation [is] about to increase a thousandfold,” analyzed one user. “What is the point of this other than to make it easy for people to be deceived […]?”, reflected another. “I genuinely think AI is a plague to be eradicated from humanity,” stated a third.
